Cork & Canvas Adult Art Class is usually the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.
We invite both men and women to join us for an evening of creative fun . . . as you experiment with a wide variety of art media, while socially interacting with others. We even supply snacks to make the evening more enjoyable.

As we come closer to the date of an upcoming Step-by-Step Art Class, we will create a special painting or drawing just for that evening. You will be able to view the image on facebook @ Smith Studio and Gallery and in our store about a week before the scheduled art class.

Good Luck Rooster Painting
Step-by-Step painting on canvas board
A rooster is a symbol of “Good Luck” as it brightens the morning with its’ wakening call. It is appropriate to have a figurine or portrait of a rooster in the household as it brings good luck and good fortune upon those who live there. Join us as we paint a rooster’s portrait in a step-by-step manner. We will capture the action of a cockerel as he announces a new day.

Corn Field Watercolor
Step-by-Step Painting
The August corn will be rising as a sea of green, but there is a lot more than green to be seen in the rolling fields of Illinois. In a step-by-step manner we will be using watercolors to capture the patterns, summer colors, and the beauty that is reflected in the late summer farmlands throughout Illinois.

We invite teens and adults to join us for an evening of creative fun . . . Everyone has the freedom to choose the art medium and venue they wish to explore.
7:00 – 9:00 pm
Cost $20/person
All materials are included in the cost.
Payment is due the night of the class.
We encourage you to call us at 309-945-5428 or go to Facebook @ Smith Studio and Gallery to confirm Thursday Open Studio dates, because occasionally we need to alter/cancel the art class.

Children's Art Birthday Party, you can choose from a variety of age-appropriate art activities. Parents bring the cake and drinks. We set up party area, run art activity, and clean up the mess.
Girl Scout Troop Art Badge, art materials and instruction are provided to complete the various art badge requirements.
